Here I am

Must be a record, not one new post for nearly two months. I guess that’s what happens when you relocate for a new job. Packing and un-packing is like a full time job. Lots of changes all over really, probably too much to list.

I’ve been watching Twin Peaks the past few days. I’m not sure why, but I never really felt like watching it 16-17 years ago. Maybe I’ve matured to appreciate David Lynch? Who knows, it’s amusing now that I’m watching it for the ‘first’ time.

We’ve been traveling to the city a lot just to see friends and family. Driving just 30 minutes is such a great change of pace to my previous 2+ hours. Then again, I think I’m gaining weight from all the eating.

Suz started her new job today. She wanted to get new shoes for her aching feet so we went shopping after she got out of work. We ended up having Indian food for dinner which wasn’t all that bad. I had chicken curry and she had chicken tikki masala. We were waiting there to order and she said how about you order a chicken dish and I’ll order a beef dish. So I looked at her and said, beef? She didn’t get it until a few seconds later when she realized cows are sacred animals to the Indian culture. I found that quite amusing ;)

I’ve got a meeting two hours away at our Hartford office tomorrow. Good thing I have the company car. Putting miles on the GTI really sucked, as well as paying for the premium gas it needed. The company car is a Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0 litre. A real beast on wheels, except, it’s heavy, slow and bulletproof. I can’t complain, the gas card they gave me is great.

Wonder what’s for dinner tomorrow…
