Time for something new
After nearly 8+ years in my current location, I am finally moving.
On one hand it’s a bit scary, on another, it’s exciting what the future may hold. There have been signs that it was time to move and start anew. From our rent being raised to my current boss suddenly asking his boss where exactly he is on the corporate food chain. Either way, I’m off to new places.
We’ll be much closer (20-30mins) to the city, so we’ll finally be close to all our friends and family. That part alone is enough to warrant this move, but I guess it also helps to get a serious boost in salary at my new job. I just felt it was time to stop being under-paid. The only reason I’ve been at my current company is because I like the people in my department. If they weren’t there, I would have left years ago. But the time has come where I’m at a different point in life and things have to change.
Suz joked that it’s all because we bought an $8 Chinese money tree from Flushing a few weeks ago. Maybe that was it, who knows. Either way, I see only a brighter and more fullfilling future ahead.
