Spain - Day 2
Today we started off with breakfast at the hacienda. Meats, bread, fruits, and more. Spanish folks don’t mess around with their meals, everything is huge.
So the bus stopped at a bank so we could get money converted to Euros. I just took out money at the ATM and went back to the bus. Somehow my wallet dropped under the chair of the bus. I checked the seat but didn’t check underneath, so I thought someone jacked my shit. After a good 5 minutes of frantic running around, another passenger found it. Phew, I’m a retard.
We started the day off by hitting up an equestrian show. I counted 11 horses that did maneuvers I never thought a horse could do. Ever see a horse go sideways? How about sideways while merging with 9 other horses?! Insane.
For lunch, we went to someone’s house. Basically, it’s a big house converted into a restaurant. It had bull paraphernalia all over the place. They served a load of tapas which I thought was the main meal. They then shuffled us into the main room for lunch…we had some gazpacho, beef stew thing, and some chocolate mousse dessert.
We then headed back to the hacienda to play in the pool. It’s hot, thank god for sunblock.
For dinner, we went to another hotel in the city to eat in their restaurant. The meal was alright, consisted of some stuffed chicken and salad. Side note, wine and beer is served religiously at every meal except breakfast. Buzzed the whole day, totally bonkers.
After dinner, we went to a flamenco show. By far the coolest thing I’ve seen. Quite intense with all the dancers and singers on stage. I shot some video, I’ll put it up later when I get back home to the US.
Anyhow, it’s bed time, more tomorrow.
